Managing Partner

Born and raised in Lowell, MA, Jason Leonard was an example of hard work and dedication. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Marketing. Jason moved down to Cape Cod in 2000, where he began his career as a New York Life agent in the Boston General Office.

As an agent, Jason was off to a fast start, winning the Life Centurion Award, Life All-Star Award and being a member of New York Life Council for all of his four years as an agent. Jason looked for the next step in his career which would take him to new heights.

In 2004, Jason was promoted to the Partner position at New York Life. As a Partner, Jason qualified for various awards including Gathering of Eagles, View From the Top, National Recruiting Award and was also in the top 25 partners of the company for 2006. In 2007, Jason was promoted to Senior Partner and went on to become the number one Senior Partner in the company for both 2009 and 2010. He also won the Frontline Award from the GAMMA foundation in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

In 2010, Jason was again promoted and became one of four Executive Partners in the company. His team of successful agents and managements has continued to excel in all aspects of the business. Jason's next step with the company came in October of 2012 when he became the Managing Partner of the San Antonio General Office, where he currently leads the team.

Jason enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa and their three sons.

Donald "Spike" Borawski, MBA, LUTCF, LTCP

Spike currently works as a Partner for the San Antonio General Office. He is dedicated to hiring and developing capable men and women from diverse backgrounds who can provide effective and innovative solutions for the problems people and businesses face. He excels in recruiting for the financial services industry, with the focus on attracting, hiring and retaining outside individuals with strong business acumen and superlative organizational, analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.

A graduate of Texas Lutheran College, The University of Texas at San Antonio and St. Mary's University, Spike Borawski began his financial service career after 10 years of working in higher education. He joined New York Life in 2002 and won numerous industry and New York Life awards, including:

As a Partner with New York Life, J.J. is dedicated to helping Agents and Financial Services Professionals build their practices, by developing strategies to protect the financial stability/security of individuals, families, and business owners. To stay on top of his field and develop his professional skills, he regularly attends industry training, certification programs, and immerses himself in case strategies with his Team. J.J.'s education, experience, and professionalism have fostered his practical approach to offering sound training and advice to the Agents and Financial Services Professionals on his Teams in New Braunfels and San Antonio Texas.

Maintaining a strong family and a solid professional foundation are very important to J.J. Personal Achievements include raising his son and two daughters with his beautiful wife, Denise, of 15 years. Academic Achievements include a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Marketing from Southwest Texas State University.

Sarah Trenchard

Partner

Born in Baton Rouge, La and raised in Houston, TX. Graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio Sarah joined New York Life in 2008. In 2009 she won the Career Long-Term Care Producer Award. In 2010 she won Mutual Fund Champion of the Year, Annuity Champion and became an Executive Council Agent reaching Executive Council consistently for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. In 2011, she won Income Annuity Champion of the Year, the NAIFA Quality Award and achieved the Guaranteed Income Leader Award. In 2012, she became a Million Dollar Round Table Qualifying Member and qualified each year after for 2013 and 2014. In 2013 she became an Annuity Elite Gold Member at New York Life. In 2014, Sarah was promoted to the Partner position for the San Antonio General Office. Through her work at New York Life, Sarah strives to continuously grow a successful team of individuals with the desire to take their careers to the next level by educating and protecting the lives in the San Antonio and surrounding communities.

Sarah is the former Vice President of Altrusa International of San Antonio Inc. supporting local literacy programs and mentoring high school and middle school inner city children. She enjoys working with her non-profit organization, traveling and spending time with her family.

Mariano "Manny" Loredo

Partner

Born in San Antonio and a Graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelors of Arts in History in 2006. My main goal was to become a high school teacher and a coach and to this day carry my Composite Certification to teach High School Government, Economics, World, U.S History and Geography. But life always pushed me towards sales and business. I was a store manager at Verizon Wireless when I attended a job Fair in February of 2013, where I met Lina Garza from New York Life and let's just say the rest is History. I triggered my contract in September of 2013 and was able to win the Foundation Award for selling 100 life insurance cases in my 1st year.

Carol V. Goff

Partner

Carol is affectionately known as a “military brat” who was born at the Naval Hospital in Philadelphia PA. She spent most of her formative years in Hawaii, from the 3rd grade through her junior year in High School. She is a 1981 graduate of the University of Georgia, with a BBA in Business Systems, and an MBA from Golden Gate University. She was commissioned, as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force in 1981.

While in the Air force she served as a computer systems and communications officer and was relocated nine times with one overseas assignment to Ramstein Air Base, Germany. She served our country for 20 years and has traveled extensively throughout the Horn of Africa and the Middle East. Carol and her husband both retired from the Air Force in 2001 as Lieutenant Colonels.

She was blessed to be able to stay home with her two boys who were 8 and 13 at the time. Her husband's civilian position brought her to New York in 2006. Fast forward to today-- her youngest son Austin is 24, a graduate of Boston University, currently working for Apple. Her oldest son Justin is 29, working on an advanced degree in Fermentation Sciences at Oregon State University.

Carol came to New York Life on a full-time basis in December 2010. She is enjoying her second career as an insurance and financial services professional and was promoted to Partner in September 2013.

Carol was stationed at Randolph Air force base in the early 90's, and her youngest son Austin was born right here at Wilford Hall. She recently relocated back to San Antonio TX, and is looking forward to continuing her New York Life Career here in the Alamo state

Robert "Bob" Weinerman

Development Manager

Robert joined New York Life in July 2011 with the Hudson Valley General Office. He earned his Career Success award after 3 months and qualified for Quality Council in 2012 and Executive Council in 2013. He also earned a Life Allstar award in 2013 as well as being the Hudson Valley Mutual Fund leader.

Robert grew up in a small family owned retail store in the Bronx, New York, and later went into banking as a Branch Manager where he discovered his passion for the insurance industry. He has held his Life and Health license, 6, and 63 since 1998.

Robert will soon be celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with his lovely bride and best friend Teresa. They have one son, Jonathan, who just turned 21, and will be a senior at the University of Miami this fall.

Mark A. Vasquez

Development Manager

Mark has spent most of his 36 years living in San Antonio, Texas. He and his wife Candy have been married nearly 15 years and have 2 daughters, Katalina and Emily. Mark is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he earned a B.A. in Marketing Dec. 2008. He joined New York Life in July of 2010.Mark's passions include comic books, weight lifting, surf fishing, table tennis, Spurs Basketball, Fantasy Football, and Twilight Zone re-runs.

Steven L. Bradford, CLU, ChFC

Senior Agency Standards Consultant

Steve joined New York Life as an agent in Kansas City, Missouri where he was born and raised. He was New Associate of The Year and a Council qualifier before accepting a Training position in Oklahoma. After five years he became the Training Supervisor in Fort Worth, Texas and was promoted shortly thereafter to become one of the companies first Training Managers.

He has served at the West Central Agency as a Marketing Consultant and Payroll Deduction Consultant. He was in Denver for ten years as a Senior Sales Development Manager. He is past President of the CLU Chapter and has served as a Board Member for NAIFA.

As an Agency Standards Consultant he serves the San Antonio, South Texas and the El Paso General Offices. He is responsible for over 180 Supervisory Interviews stretching over nearly 500 miles.

Steve has been married to Debbie for thirty-nine. They have one son Bryan who lives in the Fort Worth area. During his free time, you will find him on the golf course or working on their property in Boerne Texas.

Michael Willis, FLMI, AIAA, AIRC PCS, ARA

Administrative Manager

Michael started his career at New York Life in July 1998 as an Administrative Manager Trainee in the Houston General Office. He was promoted to the Administrative Manager of the West Texas General Office in April 1999 and was transferred to the same position in the Montgomery General Office in March 2002. In July 2011, Michael was promoted to the Administrative Manager position in the San Antonio General Office.

Michael earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance from Lamar University in 1995. In addition, Michael has earned several insurance industry designations, including Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Associate, Insurance Agency Administration (AIAA), Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC), Professional, Customer Service (PCS), and Associate, Reinsurance Administration (ARA).

Michael and his wife Susan live in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas and have a daughter named Katelyn.

Daniel Aranda

Daniel Aranda is a Senior Associate representing the Latino Market in the New York Life General Office in San Antonio. As the Latino Market Manager, Daniel looks to recruit and develop Latino Leadership in the San Antonio General Office as well as help agents leverage the New York Life brand through a variety of marketing resources and local events to connect more effectively with potential clients in the Latino Market.
